This 2000MY early production Porsche Boxster S 3.2 manual really is exceptional throughout. Finished in very rare Speed Yellow with Navy Hood and Navy Leather and with a genuine 38,967 miles since new. It is also mechanically perfect and we will explain why we are so confident a little further on. It drives and performs flawlessly.

Factory options include full leather interior, 18inch Porsche design alloy wheels with Porsche crested centre caps, automatic climate control, CDR22 sound system and wind deflector

The rare and very desirable factory Speed Yellow paint finish is beautiful for a car of any age...let alone one that is now 20 years old! It is very evident that this has been a cherished example and only used for summertime enjoyment. The factory fit panels are exceptionally straight and panel gaps are superb. Completely free of any little car park dinks or knocks... you really won't find a straighter example anywhere. All factory fit tinted glass still remains and is free from scratches or stone chips. Weather strips are unmarked and all rubbers are nice and supple. The Xenon headlights are crystal clear. The bonnet badge is still vivid and un-weathered. Side indicator repeaters and rear light lenses are as new. Scratch and scuff free, only a couple of very, very tiny stone chips to the bonnet are all that can be found upon extremely close scrutiny. The all important factory build sticker still remains under the bonnet alongside the Mobil 1 factory applied sticker within the boot compartment and factory stickers on the door aperture. The electric hood is in perfect working order and the rear screen remains clear and crack free...the previous 13 years long term ownership has ensured that it has always been folded correctly...ie, opened part way and then the rear screen has been folded with the back of a hand to ensure it remains free from creases before being folded completely. The underside is extremely clean and just demonstrates its low mileage, summer use only. A truly exceptional example which is far superior to the usual offerings of this open top sports car.

The part electric full Navy Leather Porsche Embossed sports seats are excellent and again demonstrate its minimal use over the last 20 years. Bolsters are still tight and perfectly shaped and the leather is free from scratches, splits or damage. The light grey carpeted boot and under bonnet cargo areas that distinguish this early build model car are super clean and as new. Door cards are free from scuff marks and the door lights are fully operational. The carpets remain unmarked, having been protected by genuine Porsche over-mats from new. The dashboard and instruments are typical Porsche quality and everything is perfectly placed to maximise driver enjoyment. The digital air conditioning system has just benefitted from brand new condensers and a re-gas and is ice cold. The correct Porsche CR22 CD tuner is present and works perfectly and the security card is present within the history file. The optional Cruise Control is fully working. Only very slight wear to the gear knob and a very slight marking to the internal bonnet release pull can be found. A beautiful and quality interior that just works and fits right. Come rain or shine, this cabin is still a very special place to be.

The factory upgraded 18" Porsche Design alloy wheels look superb and are complimented with the optional Porsche crested wheel caps. They are in great un-refurbished order and have no curbing to the outer rim. Only one has a very slight amount of paint peel on one spoke. They are all shod with Continental Sport Contact NC2 tyres with a vast amount of tread remaining. 225/40 ZR18 up front and 265/35 ZR 18 at the rear. The Red painted Porsche brake calipers are still vivid and the vented, grooved and cross drilled discs and pads along with Brembo pads are newly fitted within a few hundred miles.

Mechanically perfect. The new owner can have complete peace of mind in the knowledge that no nasty and expensive bills are awaiting around the corner. We know it is because we have just spent in excess of £5000 to make sure that it is...and this was at trade prices. Anyone that is in the market for one of these bargain basement, incredible sports cars will no doubt know...an inherent mechanical issue can mean that the engine just goes bang at any point...irrespective of mileage or maintenance. You can buy one today and you might be into a full engine rebuild tomorrow. This car has been loved and cherished throughout its life. It has been impeccably maintained...and it still went pop!

Being one of our own personal cars, we entrusted the work to a Porsche Specialist to rebuild the engine and to go through the whole car with a fine tooth comb and leave no stone unturned in the process. The quest was quite simple. It had to be perfect and needing nothing upon its return. A full engine rebuild was carried out and we thought it wise to replace the clutch at the same time. A new rear suspension arm was fitted along with new air conditioning condensers and a re-gas of the system. Upon starting the work, the Porsche Specialist actually commented on its condition and also its mechanicals and confirmed that it has evidently been loved from day one. Approximately 120 miles have been covered since the work was completed, just to ensure that it is right. It drives faultlessly and it performs perfectly. The clutch is nice and light and the 6 speed gearbox is firm and precise.

A complete new coil pack and belts were replaced approximately 100 miles before it had this additional work carried out. It needs nor wants for nothing and never has done.

This gives the new owner complete peace of mind knowing that absolutely nothing is required.

Complete with a full service history from new and a lovely history file of invoices for services and works carried out beyond the requirements. Prior to ourselves, the previous enthusiast owner had this beautiful car for 13 years and only enjoyed it throughout the summer months and it was religiously garaged. The original leather book pack containing all the original handbooks and literature is present along with all historic mot certificates, current V5 document and two original Porsche keys.

We are very confident that there is unlikely to be any other 986 Boxster S currently on the market that will compare to it.
