MK1 Focus RS
Our 2003 MK1 Ford Focus RS is completely standard and free from any modifications. It has covered just 19,532 miles since new and all the stamps in the service book are Ford main dealer. It still wears all of its factory fitted body panels and original paint and the 18inch OZ alloy wheels are un-refurbished. Supplying dealer number plates, window sticker and tax disc holder are all present. Factory torque marks are still clearly visible on the underside.
A truly lovely example that is sure to delight the purists and originality seekers.
Finished in the only colour available, the original factory applied Imperial Blue paint work is in lovely condition and is consistent across all factory fit body panels. We would suggest that it has had some sort of ceramic coating applied at some point in its life. The water and shampoo/foam just beads off it. These are re-known for having a soft paint finish and having never been repainted, there are a few very small stone chips to the bonnet and lower front bumper. Please appreciate that these are very very minor and do not detract from the exceptional and original condition. In our opinion, it just confirms originality. The factory applied clear plastic lower rear wheel arch/rear spat protectors are still in place and these have got a couple of very tiny chips...but they have done their job in protecting the paint. Again, these cars are known for having gravel rash...this one hasn't. This is a car that will appeal to originality seekers/collectors that expect a tiny amount of use as opposed to an unmarked but repainted trailer queen....it is just lovely!
The car sits perfectly on its standard suspension and all the panel gaps are perfect. Front head lights and rear lamp lenses are crystal clear and front fog lamps are unmarked. All factory fitted tinted glass is free from scratches. All bumper corners, edges and side skirts are free from scuffs or scratches. Weather strips and rubbers are consistent of a garaged, cherished and low mileage example. The underside is clean and free from any corrosion and the factory torque marks are visible on all the suspension arms and running gear components.
Internally is again just lovely. The double stitched Black/Blue Sparco race seats are virtually perfect. The bolsters are exactly as they should be and there is very very little wear...they really are superb. Door cards are completely free from scratches and scuffs. The carpet is spotless and has been protected by additional rubber mats since new. The exclusive original RS front carpet mats are excellent due to being removed...just to protect and preserve them. They are now fitted up front for sale purposes. The head lining is as clean as you will find. Switch gear is lovely and in perfect working order and the original dash mounted 6 CD player is still in place. The steering wheel which is again another weak spot in these cars is in a very nice condition. It has very slightly lifted in places, but it still remains very nice.
The 18inch OZ alloy wheels remain in an un-refurbished condition. They present very very well. A couple have got very minor kerb marks, but no big chunks out of them. Just very light scratching to a couple of them. We will have them refurbished if the new owner insists, however, in our opinion, we would leave them as they are...again to maintain complete originality. The correct Michelin Sport tyres are fitted all round and still have great amounts of tread.
Out on the road the car performs faultlessly. No knocks, no bangs, no rattles and it boosts up perfectly. The gear box and clutch are superb and it drives just like a 19,000 mile car should. It has always been maintained by the supplying Ford dealership. The entries in the service book have all been carried out by Brecon Ford and they all confirm that genuine Ford parts were used. They are as follows;

We will get it serviced again at a Ford main dealer upon sale or we will allow in the price for the new owner to get it serviced at a Ford dealership of their choice. The cam belt is 3 years or 98,500 miles away from needing replacing.
In terms of ownership it was purchased brand new and registered by Brecon Ford on the 4th June 2003. It remained with its first owner until 03/11/2014. He owned and loved it for 11 years. It was then bought by someone in the trade that registered it into their name for 2 months until finding its 3rd and last registered keeper. He purchased it on the 10th January 2015 with 18,693 miles. He has owned it for over 5 years and covered just 839 miles in that time.
The original leather RS handbook wallet is present and contains every piece of literature, including the salesman's business card and service managers card. The original and current V5 registration documents are present. Both Ford keys and fobs are here and the original RS mats are fitted. Every mot is contained within the history file and service records/invoices from Brecon Ford are present.
This is a truly lovely, completely standard and totally original example. They are getting more difficult to find like this...
