75 Connoisseur SE
|Colour||Moonstone Green Metallic|
A beautifully preserved and meticulously maintained 2001 Rover 75 2.0 V6 Connoisseur SE with just 49917 miles from new in the care of just one private owner.
Finished in cost optional Moonstone Green Metallic with Sandstone Beige Leather/Piped Black, this luxuriously appointed Rover is just stunning! Complete with every single invoice from new, including the original order form and bill of sale, the history file is incredible and just confirms the pampered lifestyle that this low mileage example has led.
The original order form states that this beautiful Rover was ordered brand new on the 13th July 2001 from South Cleveland Garages ( Rover ) and was to be registered and collected on the 19th September 2001. Supplying dealer number plates still remain front and rear. Factory options consisted of Metallic Paint and Electric Folding Door Mirrors. Mudflaps front and rear were ordered as dealer fitted accessories along with a full set of Carpet Mats, all of which still remain fitted. The total cost of this factory ordered example was £23409.50. The original bill of sale shows that a very low mileage Ford Mondeo Zetec was part exchanged and a receipt is present to show that the remainder of the balance was paid by Bankers Draft.
The car has been parked in a heated, carpeted garage since new and has never been subject to long winters standing outside. The Moonstone Green paintwork is just lovely and the deep shine is consistent across all the factory fitted panels. The odd, small touch in does nothing to detract from a superb and original finish. The bright work is excellent. Factory fitted glass remains throughout and is still etched with the registration number. All glass is unmarked, along with the head lights and indicator lenses. All badges are still bright and excellent. The door shuts, boot shut etc are incredibly clean and polished and free from damage.
Internally the Sandstone Beige Leather is virtually as new. The rear seats seem to have had very little or no use at all. The front seats still retain their correct shape and the leather is excellent. The carpets are like new and damage free, and have been protected from day one with carpet mats. All door cards are again unmarked and excellent, along with the unmarked roof lining. Everything internally is in perfect working order. Being the Connoisseur SE, the specification is very high and comprehensive...even by todays standards. Below are just a few of the features;
- Electric Leather Seats with Memory Function
- Satellite Navigation
- Heated Seats
- Electric Rear Window Blind
- Digital Climate Control
- Automatic Rain Sensing Wipers
- Cruise Control
- Electric Power Folding Door Mirrors
- CD Multichanger
- Rear Park Sensors
The alloy wheels are in a very good and un-refurbished condition. There are the odd small marks, but nothing too unsightly. All tyres have excellent amounts of tread remaining. The factory temporary steel spare wheel is unused and all the tools are still untouched and still wrapped in their factory cellophane.
On the road, the car drives like new. The 2.0 V6 is silky smooth. The 5 speed manual gearbox is smooth and precise. There are no knocks, rattles or creaks...the build quality is truly excellent. Its low mileage credentials are evident as soon as you drive it.
This example has been maintained to the very highest of standards. It has been serviced correctly and at the correct intervals. Every single invoice is filed from day one. Everything from a bulb to a major service. Below is a list of the detailed service work;

In summary. These Rover 75s are now being recognised for the quality car that they have always been and they are very quickly gaining momentum within the classic car market. Genuinely good examples are getting harder to find and a bit more scarce. As with any brand or model, you will always find the 'bangers' or thrashed and poorly kept and maintained examples for pennies or a few hundred pound at best. It is the exceptional cars with good mileage and ownership and a good and comprehensive history that will always be desireable and command a premium. This car ticks all the boxes. One private owner from new, 49917 miles which is backed up by a massive and comprehensive service history, lovely original condition and arguably the best colour combination for one of these...
