A concours winning 1994 Ford Fiesta RS1800 with just 41315 miles from new and just three previous owners. A fully detailed and comprehensive service history file completes this stunning little 'Fast Ford'.
Achieving first place in novice concours at Ford Fair and numerous other RSOC shows, we feel that these results alone clarify just how nice this car is.
As you can probably imagine, this car is very difficult to fault. The love, care and attention that has been lavished on this little RS over the last 23 years is very evident for all to see. The Radiant Red paint is exceptional throughout and still retains a very highly polished, consistent and superb finish. The correct deep front bumper which incorporates the driving lamps is unmarked. All factory fit tinted glass is still in place, including the heated front windscreen. Head lamps, rear lamps and indicators are still crystal clear and damage free. The factory fitted wheel arch extensions and side skirts are perfect. Polar Ford number plates front and rear complete the 'dealer fresh' theme.
Internally, the car is superb. The 'wing' seats are unmarked and there is no sagging or stretch to the cloth. The bolsters still remain in perfect shape and completely firm. The carpet and headlining are as new. Door cards and all plastic trims are all damage and scuff free. The electric windows, central door locking, internal boot release and heated front windscreen are all in perfect working order. The original radio cassette player still remains and the security code is in the extensive history file. Both original Ford keys and the Red master key are present.
The engine bay is just lovely and nicely detailed. The 1.8 16V 130 BHP power unit is extremely clean and free from any leaks... as you would expect from a car that has proved itself within the RSOC. On the road, these little RS1800s really are a great driving car and vastly under estimated in our opinion. Having been bitten by the legendary Peugeot 205 GTi bug from our late teens and well into our forties, we feel that this Fiesta is as close as you will ever find with regards driving dynamics. Every single one of the 130 horses is instantly accessible, with an instant throttle response and flexible grunt...it never fails to impress and the 'grin' factor is just priceless! It is just a pity that Ford only brought it to market a decade too late...
First registered 29th November 1994 by Polar Ford and remarkably kept by it's first owner until 2010, the low mileage credentials are backed up and verified by a lovely history file. All original handbooks remain within the blue Ford wallet. The original and stamped service book is present along with a host of service receipts, old mot certificates, invoices etc...the most recent cam belt change having been carried out in 2015.
We cannot think of any other concours Classic Ford that you could buy for this side of £18000 and it is only a matter of a short time before the RS1800 is breaking that price mark. With only around 500 examples thought to have been produced and less than 100 examples that are road worthy, this has got to be one of the rarest of all Fords to have worn the exclusive RS badge!
